The Quran is written in Arabic and has 28 letters along with special symbols that help in pronunciation. These symbols guide readers on how to correctly say the words. When the Quran was first revealed, it had no symbols because Arabs naturally knew how to read it. But as Islam spread to people who didn’t speak Arabic, scholars added these symbols to make reading easier for everyone.
